As a retiree, I’d worry about ready access to high quality medical care. Though expensive, living in the NY metro area provides access to many options for top notch medical care. This may not be a big deal for young expats. How are the health systems where you are in Mexico? I’m guessing you won’t have access to Medicare (right?).
