I am reminded of something Mark Twain said towards the end of his life "rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated." 10 years is a long time. At some point, like YouTube, the execs at TikTok will one day have to not only show a profit but growing profits to satisfy shareholders. Undoubtedly, they are going to have to find a way to generate revenue and that, ultimately, could lead to TikTok looking like YouTube.
BTW... many have been claiming that Facebook would be dead by now to be supplanted by the latest social media platform of the day. I don't love Facebook but, while not experiencing its exponential early growth, from what I can tell, Facebook seems far from dead -- at least not yet.
