I generally tend to be an optimist believing that the disfunction in our society will eventually "blow over" as we return to a world that respects and values those who are smart. Alas, I have succumbed to supporting what this author says. Some religions have the saying "the meek shall inherit the earth." I believe it is the stupid who shall inherit the earth. At best, there will be no respect in our society for anyone who has real intelligence and knowledge with the capacity for critical analysis. I have become a pessimist.
