It seems true that, at the moment, the Ukrainians are having limited success in defeating the Russians and holding them at a stalemate in some regions. I hope the best for the Ukrainians.

However, it is far too early to anticipate a Ukrainian “win.” They are giving Russia a bloody nose but it is not clear that the fight is at all over. The Russians can muster a huge army and has massive resources to throw at Ukraine in a war of attrition. No matter how grossly mismanaged or inefficient the Russian military may be, (and their performance is miserable) they can theoretically “afford” the losses (assuming they retain the will). As this war stretches on, the Ukrainians have less ability to replace their losses. I hate to think of the possibilities as the Russians seem hell bent on scorched earth.
