Not everyone can afford an S or another high range EV today. Most mid-cost EV'S don't get close to that range. With AC or heat turned on or hilly terrain, EV'S do not get close to the advertised range.

As for supercharger stations, the number is far fewer than 10k in the US today and those are not necessarily distributed everwhere needed. So, I'd say the problem is getting solved but is not solved yet for many to be comfortable.
